How to Survive in a Carbon Nation

On Thursday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m., Conscientious Projector and EDEN (Environmental Defense of Earth Now), a ministry of All Saints Church, will screen Carbon Nation at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena.  What matters most about climate change is not the debate over its existence or what has caused it. We are past that now. Solutions are what matters most, and solutions are at the heart of Carbon Nation. Billed as “a climate change solutions movie (that doesn’t even care if you believe in climate change),” producer-director Peter Byck’s positive, pragmatic documentary illustrates ways in which the already devastating impact of global warming might be contained, while potentially helping to address related social, economic and national security issues.

Peter Laarman, Executive Director of Progressive Christians Uniting, will facilitate our community discussion following the film. PCU is sponsoring the nationally recognized environmental conference Brave New Planet featuring Bill McKibben on October 28-29, where many of the film’s themes will be explored in depth.

The Armory is located at 145 North Raymond in Old Pasadena. Admission is free and the facility is accessible to disabled persons.
