Conscientious Projector Celebrates Earth Day with Back-to-Back Events

I Am on Friday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Pasadena’s Memorial Park
Conscientious Projector begins a weekend of pre-Earth Day festivities in Old Pasadena with a special Friday night outdoor screening of the powerful and inspirational documentary I Am, April 13, 7:30 p.m. at the Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena’s Memorial Park. Top-grossing Hollywood film director Tom Shadyac changes his life following a near fatal bicycling accident. Renouncing his opulent lifestyle, he sets out on a modern day search for enlightenment, seeking out some of the world’s great minds from the worlds of science, philosophy, academia and faith. He asks two questions: “What is wrong with our world?” and “What can we do about it?” The result is a revealing and moving examination of human behavior and the inter-connectedness of all life. Presented in partnership with the City of Pasadena and The Armory Center for the Arts as the kick-off event for the annual Pasadena Earth & Arts Festival on Saturday, April 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Park.  Come take part in the celebration!

The Flintridge Center’s Brian Biery leads a community discussion.
