Special Screening of Tipping Point at All Saints Church Pasadena

As part of ongoing action opposing Alberta Tar Sands oil extraction and the Keystone XL Pipeline, All Saints Church and two of its ministries, Sustainable and Environmental Defense of the Earth Now (EDEN), are co-hosting a screening of Tipping Point: The End of Oil on Tuesday, December 6, 7:30 p.m. Suggested donation: $10 – $15 (no one turned away). Come learn more about the largest industrial project in human history and its destructive impact to the environment and indigenous societies. Top NASA climatologist James Hansen warns that approval of the pipeline and continued tar sands exploitation will result in “game over” for controlling carbon emissions.

A number of other organizations, including Burbank Green Alliance and Wilder Utopiawill also co-host the special screening. Learn about the largest industrial project in human history and the positive steps we can take to heal the destructive impact to the environment and indigenous societies. We will also discuss options for an Alternative Energy Economy with special guest speakers First Nations Activist and Actress Tantoo Cardinal and Tar Sands Action National Organizer Rae Breaux.
